Materials technology: NBR [nitrile rubber]
Nitrile rubber is widely used for fuel and oil seals and grommets in the automotive industry. Its −40°C - +108°C temperature range is ideal for aeronautical applications:
- resistant to attack from mineral oils, petroleum solvents
- fair resistance to heat and ageing
- relatively poor cold resistance.
At DP Seals we pride ourselves on being able to provide specialist advice in selecting and developing exactly the right blend of materials to meet a vast range of performance requirements. If you are unsure about what material might be best, call us on +44 (1202) 674671 or email our .
